I saw a documentary about this piece of skull lately (the Russians keep it in a floppy disc box). Strange thing about it is the fact that there are two bullet holes in it.
As far as I know, it is generally regarded as a fake. If I remember correct, recent investigation even showed that the skull belonged to a female… It’s not very likely to be Hitler’s skull.
