I realise that it’s nice to get advertising income, but on a military related site like this I’m not sure that the current banner about Britney’s tummy on the home page fits with the site.
I know there’s a shortage of advertisers willing to pay for selling reconditioned panzer motors, but maybe something a bit more in keeping with the site wouldn’t be so jarring.
Military related ads, such as military recruiting ads, would sit a lot better. Even neutral ads like car ads would fit fine.
I agree, but it really is hard to find good ads if you (as webmaster) do not have time to deal with ad sellers. For my http://ww2db.com website, I actually spend time periodically to sign contracts and such myself, and also some cold “calling” (cold emailing mostly, actually).
I do find Google AdSense stay on topic 90% of the time. At least I’ve never seen anything about Britney Spears on ww2db yet 
RisingSun, thanks for your comments. I am redeveloping the homepage (the forum is already reflected). We’ll do away with as many as those ads as possible. Need a bit more time…

LOL There’s a Van Halen/rock site (VHlinks.com) that had a transitioning banner ad. One of the ads was for a gay chat. :lol:
So, it could be worse…

Maybe we can get a ads for military model companys like Tamiya, Dragon, and Hasegawa or people who sell those items.
