I know there is fairly wide latitude for the subject of images posted to that side, but I find this to be a bit much. I do understand that it is an historic documentary image, but I’m not sure if posting images of children’s (or anyone’s) severely burned corpses is in order. For myself, I would move to delete it. What do you all think? http://www.ww2incolor.com/dramatic/tumblr_m3yi9sLTge1qk6uvyo1_1280.html
IMO it shouldn’t be removed although it’s very tough. I wouldn’t go for a whole series of photos like this one but a single one should be bearable. No flame fests so far either…
I’m of two minds about it, my particular grudge is that it involves a child. Though it may have sounded like it, I’m not campaigning for its removal, just getting opinions on this type of image should someone one day decide to do a mass posting of such things.
It’s disturbing, but it’s part of the horrific nature of war. I think this one should stay. As FTG says, if it becomes a a series of dead bodies being constantly posted then that’s a different matter…
