I wondered about that when first I saw his post which seemed like an attempt to generate interest in the sale, but it was debatable whether he was linking to the other site for genuine interest (although it was a crap collection).
If similar situations occur in future, should I ask them to explain first or just issue the 5 infraction points for spam?
If it had been someone who had been around for a while or actually had any content of interest posted to this site, I would have let it slide. As it was it was a first post and had essentially zero content besides the link.
