Irish Vickers Crew, 1930's

I found this on the Internet, with only the information provided in the title and a comment about the helmets being "German style." From what I see, there are similarities to the German helmet, but also quite a bit of difference. Can anyone confirm these are Irish troops, or supply more info on the head gear?

Actually quite a close copy but the picture shows two obvious differences.1 The four dome head rivets on the front for mounting a badge and 2 the low manganese content of the steel making them very easy to dent as seen on the prone figure at the front.

Vickers M27 based on the German M16. Germany couldn’t export surplus helmets due to the treaty of versailles so Vickers basically cloned it for sale to the Irish Army.
