Italian coastal artillery in Leros island

Hi all
I have visited Leros island many times. Leros belongs to Dodecanese in South east Aegean Sea. From 1912 to 1943 was under Italian Administration (Isole delle Egeo). The island is really an enormous WWII museum. All the Italian army fortifications still stand in a very good condition. I started a research on the Italian coastal batteries, but less some technical drawings which I found in the Greek National Archives there is nothing more about the history of these batteries. Their designation is PL and a number (for example PL138). Anthony Rogers in his book “Churchill’s folly” say that PL stands for Pezzo Leggero (=Light Artillery). An Italian friend told me that propably PL stands for Postazione Lero, which to my opinion is the correct one. Any information on any PL… coastal battery of Leros will be wellcomed
