Italian P.43 tank

Drawings of the projected Italian tank P.43, this would have been a very competitive tank in face of the Allied or German production. A 90mm cannon could have been used.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://ww2incolor.com/gallery/italian-forces/45421/italian-p.43-tank

The trouble is that the P43 was a “virtual” tank, which never left the drawing table. Neither the gun or the engine even existed. It was just a paper exercise by Ansaldo and would have produced a Pz IV equivalent in late 1944 /early '45

The gun existed: the 90/53. Of course in a reduced version for tank use.
