Although it was a self-propelled gun the name "TANK DESTROYER" is much better I think. It was armoured with the biggest anti-tank gun -a 128 mm PaK 44 L/55- that the Germans ever produced during WWII. Well it destroied every type of tank during that time. But the vehichle was too heavy, but from late 1944 the Germans were usually retreating so they can use it with great effectiveness in the defensive battles (like the Tiger II too).
