It presents information I haven’t seen before on events and docmentation, and does it in a way that manages to compress a broad range of issues into a clear and concise coverage that also questions past interpretations and evidence, and the sources of that evidence.
I’ve read Drea on other aspects of the war with Japan and he’s always worth reading for clear and often original insights.
