I wonder why there is a sub tied up next to the carrier? In fact there are three other subs in the background. Given the description of ‘November 1945’, could they be US subs??
The Kasagi was built by Mitsubishi (Nagasaki), launched in November,1944 and was never completed.It was planned to be 745 feet long overall, have a full load displacement of 22,500 tons and carry 64 aircraft.
I’m pretty sure those are Japanese subs I am not so sure of which type they are. The one tied up to Kasagi looks like a transport sub.
