Kenneth Williams

I’ve about killed myself searching for information on this guy via the web.

The dude is an American or British soldier, but because I’m leaning more on the chances that he’s American, I’m posting here. Anywho and some beans later; the dude was a P.O.W. His jacket had a title written on it, Murder Inc. and the Nipzies went ahead and made it a massive propaganda issue. Has anyone seen this story one the web? Or have you heard of it, and have more information? It’s been a while, so the info I have is vauge. :x

I think he later went on to become an actor in the “Carry On” series of films.

Nope, that one was never a PoW.

Are you sure PDF?

I’m sure I read his autobiography, “Oooooh Matron : My time as a Changi POW”, which would suggest otherwise.

Not certain - that was only from quick googling which seemed to suggest he spent the whole war as either a cartographical draughtsman or in combined serivices entertainment. Hardly likely to end up as a PoW doing that.

In any case 30 seconds on google picked up the whole “Murder Inc” story:
http://www.merkki.com/murderinc.htm

I’m amazed how lazy some people are in not doing the simplest google searches before coming on here asking for information

Thanks for that PDF. I must have misremembered the title of the book, or alternatively was just being silly

glory605, please change your avatar into a ww2 related one.
Thanks.
