King Tiger

We all know about that famous tank , was it true that it was impossible to destroy ? Or maybe that’s just another myth from the war ? :army:

Although the majority of Tiger II were lost due to technical malfunctions or the lack of fuel, this tank was far from being indestructible or to say it in a poetic way: “Anything built by human can be overcome.”

A well-aimed hit on the tracks immobilizes even the tank with the thickest armor. On the eastern front the russian tank destroyers SU-100 and the ISU-122 as well as JS-2 were able to penetrate the “Kingtigers” armor (especially the comparatively thin side armor) on shorter distances. Furthermore the Kingtiger’s armor on top was only 40-44mm strong what made hin vulnerable to air (rocket) attacks.

Well as i thought , otherwise if it was true maybe the war wouldn’t be such dissaster for the nazis .Although by 1944 they had 1 % chance to win it with their small production capacity compared to USSR and America i think . However thanks for info
