Kiwis show us how politicians should behave

The conduct of New Zealand’s Parliament and its public gallery on a universally divisive issue is in marked, and moving, contrast to the base conduct of Australian politicians on the same issue and the recent conduct of American politicians on a modest gun control bill, and the generally uninspiring conduct of politicians everywhere.

A member of the public gallery sings the opening line of a Maori love song [lyrics in first comment under video] and the rest of the gallery and many of the parliamentarians take it up.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see this in all nations?
