Hej everyone,
I am very interested in the Korean War, which in my humble opinion is generally brushed under the carpet of modern military history.
Anyway, i joined this forum to see if anyone can help me with finding some information, namely about the types of vehicle and equipment used during the Korean war, by all participating armies, and of all kinds, including aircraft. I have seen the Wiki page, and several other websites, but i am always left feeling that something is missing. I have some idea of what was used, but i need a good consistent source of online information. Book recommendations are also welcome. My main reason, to be honest is that i am a modeller, and i am going to stick to the Korean War as a theme for the forseeable.

The topic is a bit broad but for a text on the War, I suggest Max Hasting’s excellent book on the subject:

As far as vehicles, you’re mainly looking (from the US/UN side) at the last generation of American vehicles and weapons from WWII such as the Pershing/Patton tank and the “Easy-Eight” variant of the Sherman mounting a 76mm gun. Although the US did initially field the M24 Chaffee which didn’t do very well against the T-34 the North Koreans fielded early on…
