Hi,my dad was a pow, captured in italy i am told.Name James Oconnell from Liverpool,1922-94.Also his brother William was killed aged 23 army dispatch rider in UK,1942/3.Please,does anyone know anything,as my dad would not talk about any of this in later years, thank you.
There’s a O’CONNELL, WILLIAM JOSEPH, died 06/05/1943 age 24 and buried in Liverpool, son of Luke and Sarah O’Connell, of Woolton, Liverpool. Does that sound likely?
Thank you MKVII,this is my uncle,i am delighted to find this out thanks to you.Is there anyway i can find out more about this,or my father James. All the very best to you,you good man.
Regards Billy.
