I just finished watching Liberation, in Russian Освобождение pronounced Osvobozhdenie. Its a 1968-1971 Soviet and East German production. Its about 7 and half hours long and on 5 DVDs. It was pretty expensive for a movie, it cost about $100. The movie was great, unlike the crap Enemy at the Gates. It looked like the best done WW2 movie made. This movie seems historically accurate and has massive battles with the right uniforms and equipment. The movie is in Russian and German. Unfortunantly I speak neither and there are no subtitles, so I could only understand a few basic words in the movie.[/i]
Heres a site where you can get the movie and theres also a video clip.

Osvobozhdenie is a good Russian war mini series. I’m not sure if its the best.
Here are few that I like: At Dawns it’s Quiet Here
Ballad of a Soldier
Cranes are Flying
100 Days Before The Command
PS: I have page listing Russian DVDs with english subtitles including about WW2
