Lithuanian resistance fighters ("Forest Brothers")

Another foto of Lithuanian armed anti soviet resistance fighters. This foto was taken about 1950. These mans dont used their real names, because there vas a lot of soviet agents around. Thei used pseudonyms instead. Man on the left caled himself "Vėjas" (vind), and man on the ridht vas knovn as "Šerkšnas" (frost), he vas a comander of thunder (perkūnas) platoon.

In Poland we heard a lot about "Forests Brothers".In my language we say: "Leśni Bracia".Respect for them as they were fighting against a red plague.It is incredible that they managed to resist until mid fifties.
