I’m trying to assemble a written history of my Dad’s military career, specifically while in WWII and the Korean War. He said very little about his wartime service and unfortunately I don’t have much to go on. To my surprise I’ve had good luck tracing his unit in Burma and India during WWII but I’m stumped when it comes to Korea. I have all of his DD-214s so I know which unit he was in. Dad was in the 464th Signal Heavy Construction Company but I don’t see his unit in any of the Korean War unit listings I’ve researched. I’m stuck. Does anyone know Dad’s unit? He was often involved with the Army Air Corps and then Air Force although he remained in the US Army.
