Looking for any kind of information on what part of the military my grandfather belong to. I believe he served under the Canadian regiment during WWII.

Hi,
I think that his shoulder patch is this one. I also found this info, and I quote: “This badge was worn by unattached infantry soldiers who were undergoing infantry training at a Canadian Training Centre, or who had just finished the TC and were awaiting orders to join a specific Unit.”
I haven’t found any other shoulder patch resembling the one in the photo, maybe some other member can add better info.
