"Made in Occupied Japan"

Hi everyone,

I was helping someone clean out the apartment of someone who recently passed away and we came across some trays and dishes with this stamp on the bottom. This person’s brother fought in the Pacific during the war so I assume that he was on occupation duty following the war and picked up these items then. The person’s family is planning on selling the items. Are these items worth substantially more than comparative items without this stamp? A quick Google search showed that people collect these kinds of things so that might make them worth a little bit more.

Thanks in advance.
