Do you know what the different images of sinking ships represents? The first on the left is bigger with a bigger flag on it. Naval versus merchant ships? Silhouette on left could be submarine.

I don’t know anything about these planes (or much about planes generally), but the ? .30 ?.50 cal barrels under the pilot’s window put the pilot about level with the muzzle, which would have been deafening, at least when firing in the same relative position on the ground.
