For those on the go in 2020 with it’s unique Social conditions, there is a new personal Shopping vehicle now available. Order now, as demand is expected to be brisk.
For some reason, this reminds me of the Disney movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Ha! now that you mention it, it sure does…
Tank, mask, and social distancing, if it posts:

(NY state government… for Nickdfresh…)
Naw, they took away all our tanks
I support most of the social distancing stuff even though I am getting complacent with near nil levels of transmission here. But I hate I can’t stop off at a bar and have a drink without ordering food. Of course, if you order a small basket of fries you can sit there and drink 18 all night. So I get they’re trying to prevent late night party congregations but it’s a bit silly…
Not trying to hijack thread, but your comment brought this article to mind:

What are your thoughts?
I’m going to need at least 7 of those tanks.
Well it’s an article from a paper that birds with good taste won’t shit on for starters, and written by “Author, comedy club owner and former hedge-fund manager James Altucher (who) self-published this essay”. Well good on him! who knew a former hedge-fund manager could string together so many words?
Firstly, I live on the opposite end of the state, so it’s hard to be lumped in to the NYC’ers. All I can say is the housing market here is shit hot! Like you can’t find a place and rents and home prices are skyrocketing, along with the stupid ******* out of state drivers we see all over the roads that I have never seen before. So, I take it with a big grain of salt. Sorry the ex-hedge fund manager (one up from being a kiddie-porn website host in terms of occupations IMO) club is closed and he is probably hemorrhaging money, but I doubt he is a reliable social critic and he can’t see the forest through his own sour grapes. I would take a disgruntled comedy club owner’s opinion with quite a bit of skepticism, I’m sure his club is suffering and maybe a month or two ago he had a point. But with Covid-19 largely nonexistent here and us being open we are seeing a massive influx INTO the state not outward. Plus the fact that it’s under control here actually sets us up for a long term economic boost while there is disruption in much of the rest of the country, where the **** is Wall St gonna go? Miami? Atlanta? Galveston? Doubt it…
Here is a far more balanced indicator of NYC economic pull, and mind you this was six weeks ago when NYC wasn’t fully “open” yet:

That’s a good thing. I have relatives that live in western NY, not far outside of Buffalo.
Edit: I wonder why the delete is not working, I’ve deleted this three times and it still shows up…

The site is just a glitchy shitshow now…
Everytime I navigate the site I have to refresh the page afterward, same with some posts, or edits. No idea what makes the server act this way, but it does dampen the experience on occasion.
It gets annoying to have to log in 4o times to do anything…
Agreed, I wonder if that’s one of the reasons member traffic is so low.
I’ll log in and it says welcome navyson. Then go to an thread, go to another thread, and it then says welcome, is this your first visit. Yet I’m still logged in! Where’s Procyon?
Hmm… I was having those issues a few months ago but they disappeared and now I have none. Didn’t do anything different, so I don’t know what to tell you… Weird stuff anyway.
However, at the top of the page is: Warning: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is deprecated, use preg_replace_callback instead in …/includes/class_bbcode.php on line 2958
I haven’t heard from him in ages, at this point, other than PM’s I’m not sure he’s available. I’ll check my emails, see if I have a current addy for him, and see if I can get hold of him.
I get that same thing at the top also…
I did manage to contact Procyon, he said he’s look into the problem directly, so we may have a resolution soon. Now all we need is the Membership coming back, and writing again…
Heh, its just us old farts now, eh?.
