The right name of the town is Montecassino, only a word. VS
From what I know, the city is named simply Cassino, Montecassino is the name of the hill where the Abbey stands–outside of town.
Montecassino is the Abbey and the mountain of the abbey, Cassino is the town in the valley under the mountain and the abbey. It was an ancient Roman town called Casilinum wich gave and gives still name of the Casilina way.
So Lusitania is right.
