Do you know what the last real use of the Mustang was? I think it was the 1970s and was a drug mission in Columbia.

The Swiss one looks good. They’re all really cool, but I think its cool finally seeing a Swiss plane.

They certainly fought in the “Football War” in the air force of El Salvador, in summer 1969. So far as I can tell from a quick mosey around the interweb they were sold off in 1974, but it isn’t clear what they had been doing in the meantime.

Edit: the Dominican Republic seems to have a handful in service until 1984!

Yeah, I heard that it was into the 80s, quite amazing… :shock:

Is it just me or is it a bull’s eye painted on the Dominican Mustangs?

Yep, they even mention it here: http://flagspot.net/flags/do^.html#fin

Haha! “shoot here”:).

Clave´s back :slight_smile:

Nice to see them in so many outlandish paintjobs :smiley:

The Chech ones are always nice… the camo is relatively simple.

I never really ‘go away’ - I just get distracted with real life… :eek:

Beautiful P51S

Probably the Best Looking aircraft of the war. A perfect plane to symbolize the transition from piston to jet. The peak of piston aircraft design.

Heres the Mustangs attack bomber cousin;the A-36A “Apache”;;;
