My IJA Photos (a few)

delete

Care to explain how you own the copyright? If I understand Japanese law correctly, you must have bought the Copyright (NOT necessarily the photo itself), and the photographer must have still been alive on the 20th March 1960. There was a row about similar photos recently, and the guy claiming copyright declined to explain himself.
The provenance would also be interesting in itself, anyway.

Thanks for posting those interesting photos.

However, at the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, the internet is a lawless place and you might as well try to turn back the waves as try to stop people using your photos once they’re posted.

What is on the pole held by the man to the right (as viewed) of the horse?

While that does not look like Emperor Hirohito, I bet that staff has the Emperor’s Imperial Seal of Japan (Crest of Chrysanthemum).

It’s what’s hanging from it that interests me. It looks like a rope or similar.

Well here is another interesting one:

Looks like the same image! Supposed to be 01 May 1932 at the Yasukuni Shrine.
