My Medic Helmet

Hi

Here’s my Medic Helmet:

Not trying to rain on your parade, but the helmet net grid seems far too wide for WWII US helmets.

Seems there wasn’t any regulation for marking US medics’ helmets in WWII. WWII Medic Helmet Markings & Regulations - MARKED & PAINTED HELMETS [REF] - U.S. Militaria Forum

Oh come now, RS*. You’re a serial parade-rainer.

In the quest for eternal truth, some rain must fall on parades.

Or is that padres?

No problem Rising Sun, my four M1? helmets are all hand painted by me, and if they came with the plastic liner, it was replaced with a fibre one, this one was £6.00 and came with a plastic liner, and like a cotton net with a elasticated band, which I sold for £2.50, shell then £2.50, fibre liner £13.00, which was a early Belgium one, net £4.00, repro helmet chinstrap £8.50.

The stencil was made by using a CD as a template, and then measuring to get the cross right.

I believe it should indeed be both.
