napalm bats

NAPALM BATS

On the history channel they said it was actually proven successful, the bats were dropped out of weird bombs that folded open in midair. The bats were drugged and hanging from tray things and when it folded open the bats fell on top of the tray below giving them time to wake up and fly away. They liked dark places so they went under the eaves of buildings. When they left the trays they set off a fuse. Since Japan was made up of mostly bamboo and wood buildings they would burn like crazy. They said that every test that they took was successful and the bats always found the eaves and burned everything. They were going to use it but then another crazy weapon was invented and its name was the Atomic Bomb. They bombed Japan and they didn’t need the bats. I’ll still look around for more info though.

PIDGEON GUIDED MISSILES

Also there were pigeon guided missiles. They hadn’t invented the computer technology to guide missiles yet so a man invented a way to train pigeons to be inside a missile and it would peck on a screen that showed the enemy ship that they were firing at. Where ever the pigeon would peck the missile would go. They trained these pigeons to peck at the enemy ships and it worked pretty well. But the Military rejected it because “It was too weird.” Crazy people.

I think weve had this discussion, maybe Dani can find it, he is good at searching things! I’m pants at it.
