Can anyone tell me anything about this uniform? He was conscripted in Poland by the Germans in 1943 after fleeing from Ukraine in the same year. His age, when conscripted, would have been 16/17. The last letter from him was from Sudetenland(?) In 1944. Can’t see the cap badge or other marking clear enough to identify them. The trousers seem very unkept and I’m wondering if he was in some kind of labour unite.
This could be a uniform for auxiliary police forces in the eastern areas occupied by Germany.

I really don’t see a resemblance, but it is an avenue we haven’t tried as yet. Thank you for the response.
The best clue might be the belt buckle, but it’s washed out in the posted version as a bright rectangle.
If you could get some detail from it, that might help to narrow down the information you’re seeking.
I tried in PhotoShop to get more details, but without any luck. The sign on his left sleeve seems to be an eagle.
