But I am posting to congratulate the Brits’ favourite non-GB athlete - well done KATIE TAYLOR ! Olympic lightweight women’s boxing champion, from Bray, County Wicklow, in the Emerald Isle ! No-one has done more for women’s boxing than Katie, and it is only right - after all those World and European Championships - that she should achieve this, her great goal. Again, damn the begrudgers !
Now, hopefully, onwards and upwards for the (male) Irish boxers still in competition. They have quite a model to live up to …
