If I’m not mistaken then this is one of a series of photos taken of burnt soldiers on the afterdeck of a panzer in Normandy 1944.
I don’t think you’re mistaken, brummbar. I think this might be around the Falaise Pocket…
The tank appears to be called Ursula and from the Panzer Lehr.
There is a side penetration hole in the hull.
