Panzer divisions wit

Does anyone know of the 7 Panzer divisions that were never issued a unit number? I can only think of Grossdeutschland and Herman Goering.

I cant think of them either.

Sorry pal. You got me! The only two that I am familar with are the Großdeutschland Division and the Herman Goering Panzer. :?

Panzer-Grenadier-Division Grossdeutschland was formed in June of 1943 from Infanterie-Division Grossdeutschland (mot).

Actually there are more panzer, panzergrenadier, infantry divisions only named (not numbered) both on Wehrmacht and Waffen SS.
Only few examples:

Most Named Panzer divisions didn’t have numbers, the numbers were normally removed when the divisions were named. Some never had any numbers and were named from the start.

Named Panzer Divisions:
Panzer Division Clausewitz
Panzer Division Feldherrnhalle 1
Panzer Division Feldherrnhalle 2
Panzer Division Jüterbog
Panzer Division Kempf
Panzer Division Kurmark
Panzer Lehr Division
Panzer Division Müncheberg
Panzer Division Tatra
Panzer Division Hermann Göring(Luftwaffe)
Some of the above did at one time have a number

BTW I thought Großdeutschland was a Panzergrenadier Division not a Panzer Division?

I beat you up!
