Did the same exact thing, only I was holding an M16 over my head instead of an M1.lol Memories…Memories…Some good, some not so good about Parris Island.
HOS… M1903 Springfields. I must confess that the Marines are a cut above the rest in the US military. I met several while at jump school (Fort Benning, GA- Class 9-84) and they told me that the P/T was TOO EASY! I also like the way they wore their cover real low and marched, those were the days! Lesson learned: an obscene amount of pushups will make you a better person.
