Part of the border shutted down?

Anyone heard that news?

If you mean the U.S.- Mexico border at Arizona, its a part of a U.S. National Park used by drug smugglers, and human traffickers, its not so much the Border, as an 80 mile deep strip of the park that abuts the border. The area has been closed to U.S. citizens as it has become too dangerous for people to venture into. I got this info from a google search.

Might be about Uzbekistan closing its border with Kyrgyzstan.
Caught a bit about it on the news earlier but not much, more info on Yahoo news.

the Uzbekistan border closing also appeared during my search,as did something about India, and Pakistan closing their border everyday. Their version of rolling up the sidewalks at dusk.

I remember seeing the India Pakistan border closing on a travel documentary, it was interesting to see the border guards trying to out do each other in displays, it even drew crowds on both sides that wanted to watch. They might not do it on every border crossing or everyday but it was certainly interesting.

Really, please do reply so we can chat on the specific border. I think it’s most likely the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan border, if so, yes I’ve heard.

I think it would be the Mexican/Arizona Boarder. But then again I could be wrong. Oh and “Shutted” is not a word.

I agree with Lawliet. And something special just for the thread starter:

But it doesn’t always go to plan.

Um, kids, the thread-starter is not a native English speaker IIRC, and you’re awfully cocky for having less than 10 posts here. Ulquiorra, consider this your first, and last, formal Mod warning as we have a very low troll tolerance here…

Sorry, i should have stated its the Arizona/Mexico border, and Nick is correct; I am not a native English speaker.

From what I read, the National Park that runs along the Mexican/U.S. Border has become a corridor for the Drug cartels, and those who smuggle people into the U.S. it has become so dangerous, that the park has been posted to warn Americans to stay away from the Park, or at least parts of it.

Well I think there is must be a political or defense requirement of countries to close borders.

Every country has it’s rights to close any border with it’s neighbors so what’s new in it to start this thread.

Phoenix has the reputation of being either the first- or second-highest kidnapping ‘capital’ of the world. Has anyone seen pictures of all the trash left in our desert? Able-bodied people caught crossing the border illegally should be given a plastic bag and told to start picking up the used condoms and other stuff.

It’s gotten to the point where the drug cartel(s) is threatening our public officials. Are we going to, de facto, turn this part of Arizona (and I’ve lived here most of my life) over to Mexico?

Threads may be started for any reason, be it to share information, ask a question, or discuss any particular point. you will understand this better as you spend some time here.

Because this thread is discussing a specific border closure and the matters affecting it rather than confirming the obvious right of every country to close its borders with its neighbours or any other country.
