Perths Anti Tank gun stuck in the mud

As opposed to the Sherman being used to tow a stuck gun out, I wondering if the Sherman is not the actual tow vehicle.

Quite often during an attack tanks would tow up some of the infantrys AT guns so that they could have immediate AT support and allow the tanks to be re-tasked or to withdraw to rally points (replen) behind the infantry especially at night.

That makes sense to me !
