Plans for holidays

Because it is proper time to plan summer holidays, it think it would be interesting to share with other members the ideas of trips or events for forthcoming months.
For example, I’m planning to go to Kostrzyn (close to polish-german border).
On July 28 & 29, 2006, there will take place a huge open-air festival, a polish version of Woodstock festival.
If you feel like having 2 days of great fun with people from all around the world, don’t hesitate and visit Kostrzyn. It’s totally free, no tickets etc. The atmosphere is unique!

I see you don’t have a time for holidays  Too bad for you.
This is another place I’m gonna visit this summer

I went to Austria a couple of weeks back, and I’m going to Utrecht in Holland for a weekend in October. Maybe a day/weekend trip to the northern beaches of France is also planned.

I’ve just came back from the festival I mentioned above.
Three days spent in extreme conditions (almost 40 C-degrees, dust everywhere) and overwhelming crowd - about 400000. But it was worth of it. I recharged my batteries for 12 months
Atmosphere was great - peace, love and politeness all the time. And the music… Wide range of styles.
I’ll post some pics later.

Since my boss allowed me to to take few days off in August, I’m planning to visit Kolobrzeg (Kolberg). Except from the fact that this is great seaside resort on the polish coast of Baltic Sea, it is also a city where heavy fightings took place in 1945.
Because I got some friends living there I will ask them for help and try to see as much historic places as possible. I heard that there’s quite interesting well equipped museum there, and some remainings of bunkers, fortifications etc.
There also a closed airbase, which was used by Germans and later by the Soviets.
I ponder how to see all of this in 3-4 days, because I can’t force my Lady to enter every bunker and museum we find, instead of spending some time on the beach
I’ll post post pictures then.
