Post War Pinup - Saving Bonds!

My Dad saved this in immediate post war period, while serving on aircraft carrier. Pinup art to sell bonds. Guess my Dad saw some value in this.

You know, those can be some lonely nights on an aircraft carrier… <br /><br />

I assume that the point of the ads was to stop people from cashing in on their war bonds?

I was reminded of this cartoon by the pic of the Russian Female soldier with the G.I. Holding on to ‘them’ is the message. The sailor’s eyes suggest he is thinking of holding something besides bonds!
