Powerful painting
Nurse Natalia Michalyova (painted by S.Uranova, Soviet Union). This an outstanding painting. I just can’t avoid looking at her face. Her eyes express a mix of tiredness and sadness, decision and readiness to do what had to be done. Wonder if she survived the war.
