I have a quastion, why GI’s didn’t used Marines équipement to landind on D-Day, LVT 'Buffalo", for exemple, they gave a very good support…

I may be wrong but I think it was rather a question of resources.America was fighting on 2 fronts,ETO and Pacific.I guess there was just not enough equipement available for both theaters.If I remember correctly there was already a problem with having enough landingcraft when it was decided to invade the south of France prior to the D_Day landings.I have to read up on that operation again to be certain :wink:
