Present Day U.S. military qualifications assessment.

One must be good to get into the U.S. and NATO Armored Forces these days…

LOL At least they can read now. Didn’t they once have to print a comic book style manual for the M-1 tank?

There was a maintenance pamphlet printed by the Gov’t in a graphic novel style, called PS magazine. It caught on, and became a staple of Army life. Regular manuals had been printed with bad half tone images, and text suited to about a 5th grade education. PS covered all parts of the military, and detailed nearly every problem one might encounter, as well as chiding slackers who don’t turn in replaced parts for refurbishing, or follow procedures.

“Kelly’s Heroes” ? Very funny … I think. BTW - did the Germans not also produce cartoon-based instructional books for tankers during WW2 ? Best regards, JR.

The Germans did just that, all sorts of tips on how to operate, and how not to screw up. it may have been the idea behind the U.S. publishing PS magazine.

I could recognize a word two out of three times,
