Prinz Eugen panzers.
7th SS Volunteer Mountain Division's 7th SS Panzer Battalion was gifted with a range of obsolete captured foreign tanks, some more suited to mountain operation than others. Here, officers and NCOs of the division appear to be inspecting a batch of French-made Renault R-35s, fresh off the railway. A pretty inferior tank in front-line service, but not the worst for mountain work - although the high fuel consumption and short range of these vehicles would have been a significant drawback. Best regards, JR.
