Question about Soldier expenses on "luxury supplies"

I am interested to find out about how much the average soldier made a month/ year or what of you. But am morely interested in these questions:

What were the types of items soldiers could order from supply ?

Were there any special foods they could hav ordered from supply ?

and of course, trading and bartering away these items could be just as good as money, correct?

i believe in world war 2 a us infantry private recieved 21 USD a month, with a small additional amount for overseas duty and for combat. i also found this but don’t know how helpful it is
