Railgun pics?

Anyone have some Nazi Railguns?

Im totally aware what a railgun is but have never heard or seen anything about Nazi railguns. Not say they didnt exist but would be news to me. Make a hell of an anti tank weapon.

Hi.

There was only some basic research for electromagnetical propelled guns.

In 1944 some theoretical research was started regarding a 15 cm railgun with a rof of 200 rpm using a 100 kW powerplant and a 4 cm aa-railgun.

Some aircraft-shaped projectiles were tested in 1945 for the aa-railgun but the power supply was problematic. A suitable battery or condensator had a very high weight (600 - 3000 t) making the gun immobile.

So no railguns, sorry

Interesting Pics tom thanks.

Maybe he means railway guns?

Is not this for sure.

Well though I be new on this form maybe I can shed some light on the subject
I did find in my research for railway guns, find a few pictures of a electro magnetic railgun at a research facility near Berlin taken some time around 1943 I think I am going to look in to it.

well check this out (1934) its a coil gun but close to what i think u want, still looking for those pics.

Hello Gentlemen,

I learned something new from this thread. I had never heard of railway/railroad guns. The pictures are great. Were the railway guns used to great advantage during WWII? BTW, has anyone heard of TPG’s being experiemented with during WWII?
