Some nice stuff mate, what are the Tanks?

TR 85 M1 BIZON (BISON)

Upgraded TR-85 which originally was an upgrade of TR-580 which was a redesigned T-55.

I never knew the Romainian army used AKs. Nice stuff by the way!

Hi Dani

When did the Romanian Army get the GEPARD?

What is the weapon mounted on the BMP hull in the bottom two pictures? It looks a bit like the remote gun on the MARDER.

The combat clothing the soldiers are wearing in some pictures looks very similar to British DPM. Do you know if it is a similar item, or just a coincidence?

Great pics, with an unusual camouflage scheme on some of the guns.

Thanks for posting them.

Between 1998 and 2004 we bought 55 Gepard systems from Germany.

For “BMP” actually a MLI 84 M Jderul, the weapons are:

OWS 25R from Rafael with Oerlikon 25 mm gun, an anti-tank missile launcher with 2 Spike missiles and a 7,62 mm machine gun.

Here the MLI-84 have only the Oerlikon gun.

The same turret will be mount also on TAB-77 (and will be named Zimbru)

Speaking of combat clothing, the below pictures tooked in Iraq and Afghanistan sounds familiar to you?

Well, you not only use the same Temperate DPM as us, but you appear to use the same Deserts as well.

Nice photos though…

Quoted: The newest Romanian uniform is designated M2002 and is based on the British DPM pattern - it comes in both a “woodland” and “desert” version

That confuses me. What small arms did you think a former WAPA country would use ?

Great pics…Looks like beautiful country side.

Well I’m not too keen on the arsenal of other armies besides the US’s after the WWII era. :?
