Russion P-63: New Print of Sakhalin Theater w/ P-63 Aircraft Parts

Finally completed my P-63 Kingcobra a/c #444315. This is my second piece that depicts it - the first being a commission for the Wings Museum.

I’m still able to tweak it - so I certainly invite input.

Each of these prints will be paired w/ an actual piece from this specific aircraft, as recovered from this specific Sakhalin battle site.

I have high hopes for this marketing idea, and I’ll certainly let y’all know how it goes. This is what I’ve got in mind:

That’s looks just fine , Ron.
Excellent job. DO you use the 3Ds Max studio, working with the pics?

Greetings! No, I “hand paint” in Photoshop. I used 3D Studio Max in some of my architectural rendering projects - but only to set camera angles and lighting. I don’t use rendering software because the results are so sterile and inorganic, though I know some guys who take the rendered image and repaint to correct this. To each his own.

I knew one guy who used the rendering software , based on ww2 game engine ( “IL-2 Shturmovick” PC simulator ). He took the image and polish it up with Photoshop. The final pics look also rather awesome.
The modern PC games give the almost finished geometry, lighting and sky .
