Thats pretty cool though I dont know why they dont just crush it and then feed it to the shredder ?

They snip it into smaller pieces, then feed it into a shredder.

You’ll see it again soon, as a car or another aircraft.

It looked like the engines ahd been removed, so this could have just been a shell. Maybe the last part of an aircraft that has been stripped of everything usefull.

Check out the History channel series “Bone Yard”. pretty interesting. The last episode showed what is done to Military hardware.

Yes, seen a few programmes of that sort. Are not, some of these aircraft kept in the Nevada desert in order to preserve them?

It’s always rather sad to see how these ships and aircraft etc. meet their end after long years of service.
Now, if you want to talk tanks, we use them as targets on the anti-tank ranges. Somehow, they don’t seem to have the same affect on our emotions.

Surely the US could have made a small fortune by selling all its F-14’s to Iran, bit of a missed opportunity there.

The reason they shredded the 14’s is so that the components would never fall into the wrong hands, and possibly be used against us in some future encounter. Sell them to one country, and if there is an unscrupulus official , who knows where they might end up. We can’t afford to risk that. The video looks like two T-Rex’s having dinner…Mmmmm, high mineral diet,
