Yes, this is a man. At least the photo title makes ense. It’s indeed a Sd.Kfz. 234/2 “Puma” with 50mm main gun. Only 101 items of this heavy armoured scout cars were build. The photo shows a Puma of a Waffen-SS unit during the fightings in Upper Silesia, early February 1945.

Really? Only 101? I’d thought they were more common! What about the other Sd.Kfz 234 variants?

I read that there was a production order for 500 then increased to 1500 but in January 1944 it was cut to 100 in favor of different versions.
