Hoping someone may be able to provide some useful advice. I have some ancestors who migrated from Japan in the 1920s. We lost touch with the relatives who remained behind, but many would have been young men and women by the beginning of WW2. Can anyone suggest potential ways of exploring if they may have enlisted or been drafted into service? I do know of one relative who apparently worked as a civilian employee of a military hospital in Bantokou, Manchukuo. Does anyone know anything about such a hospital?
I know this is a shot in the dark, but I’d love to try to find out what happened to them.
Any thoughts?
