My uncle, tail gunner on B-17G, 447th BG, 710th Squadron. KIA on May 21, 1944, AAA direct hit over Laon, France on his 21st birthday. B-17 "Lady Lorraine" was on 2nd pass over target when took the hit in the nose. 2 out of 10 survived only to be POW's remainder of war
