Sherman Aerials

I notice some Shermans have Aerials, some even have two whilst others have none. What are the two Aerials for? Two different radio systems?

Thanks!

I think it if has two aerials, then that means that tank is the lead tank? It’s something along those lines.

Two different nets, one up one down. Troop commander to troop, short range set, one to squ comd, long range set. As an aside it is also a convenient place to keep the spare antenna.

When GSFG was planning to travel west for the summer, the target priority was any tank with two or more antennas.

Thanks guys for clearing that up!
