I am starting to plan an article based around the Sherman Firefly in in service Normandy '44. I have been fortunate enough recently to meet Ken Tout OBE, gunner in the 1st Northants Yeo. who has kindly agreed to look into a few gaps in my knowledge.
I also want to focus on the Sunshield/Houseboat attachement that was fitted to some Fireflys. I have seen some photos from an archive in Kew, though information is pretty patchy.
Anybody out there have any hidden gems of info that have so far remained untapped?
